Cameco is one of the world’s largest uranium producers. During normal production, the flagship McArthur River mine in Saskatchewan makes up approx. 50 of production under normal market conditions.
In the middle of the year 2020 with uranium price weakness, the company has reduced production instead of buying from the spot market to meet contracted deliveries.
In the long run, Cameco has the ability to increase annual uranium production by restarting closed mines and investing in new ones. In addition to its large uranium mining business, Cameco operates uranium conversion and manufacturing facilities.
